Terms of Service

Last updated: 29/09/2025Welcome to EDxV Academy (“EDxV”, “we”, “us” or “our”). We provide online and in-person educational programs designed for children and young people aged 8–15 (“Students” or “Children”) focused on developing real-world workplace and life skills.These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to:- Your application for your Child to participate in EDxV programs.
- Your Child’s participation in EDxV programs.
- Your use of the EDxV website, learning platform, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By enrolling your Child in an EDxV program, or by accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, your Child may not participate and you should not access or use our Services.1. Eligibility- You must be at least 18 years of age and the parent or legal guardian of the Child to apply for admission.
- You confirm that all information you provide during enrolment is true, accurate, and up to date.
- You and your Child agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable Australian laws and regulations.
- You agree that your Child’s participation is for educational purposes only and not for competitive or commercial use.
2. Privacy- Your privacy is important to us. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
- We collect personal information from you and your Child for enrolment, participation, communication, and educational purposes.
- By using our Services, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental or guardian consent.
3. Participation and Conduct3.1 Application and Enrolment
- Parents must submit an application form with accurate details about the Child.
- Participation is subject to acceptance and full payment of fees, unless the Child is undertaking a free trial.
3.2 Behaviour Standards
- Students and Parents agree to treat all participants, facilitators, and staff with respect.
- Bullying, harassment, abuse, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
- We reserve the right to suspend or remove a Student for breaches of conduct.
4. Fees, Payments, Subscriptions and Trials4.1 Fees- Fees must be paid in advance of participation, unless your Child is enrolled under a free trial (see 4.5).
- Pricing will be displayed on our website or provided during enrolment.
4.2 Payment- All payments are due immediately and are processed through Stripe or other approved third-party providers.
- By enrolling, you authorise us to charge your nominated payment method for fees due.
- You are responsible for ensuring your payment details remain current.
4.3 Subscriptions and Renewals- Some programs are offered on a subscription basis.
- Subscriptions automatically renew yearly unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- A renewal reminder will be issued at least 14 days prior to renewal.
4.4 Refunds and Cancellations- If you cancel before your Child’s program commences, you are entitled to a full refund (less Stripe processing fees).
- Once a program has commenced, all fees are non-refundable, except as required under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
- Refunds are not available for partially completed programs.
- Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the ACL.
4.5 Free Trial- New participants may be eligible for a free two-week trial.
- The free trial allows access to the program without charge for 14 days from enrolment.
- At the end of the trial, your nominated payment method will be automatically charged for the full subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Only one free trial is available per family, unless otherwise approved by EDxV.
5. Intellectual Property- All content, materials, and resources provided by EDxV are owned or licensed by us.
- You and your Child may use them only for personal educational purposes.
- You must not copy, distribute, adapt, or commercialise our materials without our prior written consent.
6. Prohibited ConductYou and your Child must not:
- Share, sell, or resell EDxV content.
- Misuse the platform or attempt unauthorised access.
- Use our Services for unlawful, offensive, or harmful activities.
- Post or share harmful, defamatory, or inappropriate content.
7. Liability- We provide our Services with reasonable care and skill.
- To the extent permitted by law, EDxV excludes all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
- Our liability for any failure under the ACL is limited to resupplying the Services or refunding the cost, at our option.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of opportunity, data, or business.
8. Dispute Resolution- If you have a concern, you agree to first contact us directly to resolve it.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
9. Changes to Terms- We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website with the “Last Updated” date.
- Continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
